Is FIRST backed up on answering e-mails that are sent to [email protected]? Myself as well as our other coach have sent e-mails to that address with some different questions over the last month or so and sometimes it takes a few weeks to hear a response and majority of the time we hear nothing back at all. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi CoachZM,

FIRST Tech Challenge staff is scrambling to make sure that all spots for the World Championship are allocated properly. We're also ordering, assembling, and packing materials for both events, building schedules for teams and for volunteers, planning the event logistics, and any number of other things related to the two big April events. I'm sure that we aren't getting to every email that comes in quickly, so we're answering the most time sensitive questions and topics first. I'm sorry that you're experiencing delays in our response. We've got some pretty aggressive deadlines that we're trying to meet, and I'm afraid there isn't any wiggle room in them.

Yes, this seems to be an ongoing problem. I've never received a reply from that email address for several questions over a period of 5 seasons and I've also heard of a number of others with the same problem. I am wondering if there is someone farther up the chain at FIRST HQ that can help.

I still have never received a response from last year. I understood the backup with the World Championships but my concern that I sent should still have been addressed. I also sent a separate email to them last week and have yet to hear back. If you call, most of the time they tell you to email them so you end up getting stuck in an infinite loop!
