  • Phones for next year

Does anybody know what phones we can use next year in Relic Recovery? Our team is looking to buy different phones to try out over the summer and we don't want to try out phones that could be ruled illegal and we want to try out phones that may be better than the ones currently available.

There's an existing thread on this, over here. Short answer: if you want something official, you'll need to wait for a formal announcement or the release of Game Manual 1 for Relic Recovery. Anything else will just be an opinion. In my opinion, they are unlikely to deprecate anything currently approved other than perhaps the ZTE Speed, and probably won't do that unless they run into a fundamental incompatibility between the ZTE Speed and the changes needed to the SDK to support the new Rev hardware or what they consider other 'must have' changes. As far as new phones not previously qualified goes, that would be pure guesswork. I don't think I would be spending money on unlisted phones prior to official changes being documented.

I talked to Tom Eng at worlds and the ZTEs will be legal next year.

I compared Velocity Vortex and Relic Recovery Game Manual Part 1. Attached: what I found. Phones summary: <RE06>No changes to legal phone list.
