  • Configuration Scan Only Finds One Device at a Time

My configuration scans will find my devices (motor, servo controllers), but only one at a time. We're spending a lot of time trying to fix this problem, and robot design is taking a back seat to tech problems. We don't feel like we can design a robot if we can only get two motors to function at a time. Is/has anyone else experienced this problem?

Have you tried the core discovery app from Modern Robotics?

We found this very helpful last year when trying to uncover module discovery issues.

If your Android device is running Lollipop, then that's a known bug.

Moto G2 phones running Lollipop (5.1.x?) had a patch for USB device enumeration issues. For the most part Android users only plug in a single USB device but it's still a pretty significant bug that made it into production, and stuck for a few versions too, when you consider how big the developer resources were.
Down at the bottom of the planet we're not using Android phones for control and you could use something else too during development but of course would need to port back to Android for your competitions however time saved would probably still make it worthwhile.
