  • New beta release

    Tom,
The new beta release said it's 2.61, not 2.5.

  • #2
The newest beta version is 2.61, but the changes made available in the past couple of days on the beta branch include the changes in version 2.5 through 2.61. So what changed in 2.5 (which is arguably more substantial than what changed in 2.6 or 2.61) was also just released. Does it really matter, though? The 2.5 changes cannot be downloaded without also getting the 2.6 changes.

No it doesn't really matter. I just thought to point that out so people don't get confused.

Thank you mikets... you, sir, are correct! I will update my incorrect threads with the correct version numbers.

Thanks again for catching this (my mind kept thinking 2.5, but we released 2.61 after we introduced some bug fixes).

          Blocks Programming mode changes:
Fix to correct issue when an exception was thrown because an OpticalDistanceSensor object appears twice in the hardware map (the second time as a LightSensor).

          Version 2.6 (released on 16.12.16)

          Fixes for Gyro class:
          Improve (decrease) sensor refresh latency.
          fix isCalibrating issues.
          Blocks Programming mode changes:
Blocks now ignores a device in the configuration xml if the name is empty. Other devices work in configuration work fine.
