  • DcMotor vs DcMotorEx

    Are there any current motors that can't be referenced using the DcMotorEx interface vs. the DcMotor interface?
    On of the examples shows:
    Code:
    // Important Step 1: Make sure you use DcMotorEx when you instantiate your motors.
    m1 = hardwareMap.get(DcMotorEx.class, "m1");
    Is it reasonable to always use DcMotorEx now?

    DcMotorEx is used for Lynx motor controllers (Control Hub / Expansion Hub). DcMotor is used for Modern Robotics / HiTechnic motor controllers.

      Thank you for this clarification - it seems like a pretty basic thing, but I don't recall reading this anyplace else.
