            Hi FTC9988.

Here's a link to a tutorial that might be a good place to start:

FIRST is a global robotics community preparing young people for the future and the world’s leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM education.

Also, I put some material online that includes some materials from an older workshop that we did with the Blocks programming tool in summer of 2016. The screen shots in the docs might be slightly out of date but the material might be helpful to learn how to use the blocks software.

You can access the older training workshop material here:

Remember, the NSTA training material was made using an older version of the Blocks software so there might be some slight differences in the user interfaces on the current software.

            Welcome aboard!

We have used the tutorial and we're VERY happy. Works as advertised. Being able to edit code, download it, and run it without all the hassle of the MIT App environment is awesome.

Oops. Forgot to tell you who we are. We're team 9762, Radioactive in Naples, Fl. We urge all MIT App users to try the block programming.

7880 Carnivorous Rabbits from Cedar Falls, Iowa. New programming mentor (me) and programming team this year. Decided to give Blocks Programming a shot. So far, seems much easier than the MIT App environment.

I have lots of questions, I look forward to learning how to use this tool.

FTC 9931 (this year's name TBD) from Midland, MI is on the Blocks bandwagon now. This looks like a tremendous improvement over the AppInventor/VirtualBox environment, much easier for our young middle school team members to work with. Great stuff, thanks!

So, all our issues tend to be programming related, (This is 11653, S.T.E.M again) is this sub-forum meant for all our programming woes? I'll hold off until a reply comes around. Thx
