Two recent competitions had the following blocking maneuvers occur:
1) Team drove into the crater and extended their intake mechanism in order to create a barrier preventing anyone from grabbing minerals
2) Team drove into the crater and shadowed another team preventing them from getting minerals
It would seem to us that while defensive play is a part of the game, unconstrained defensive play (e.g. blocking access to all minerals indefinitely) would break the game, or at least the mineral portion of the game. Could the GDC provide guidance as to what amount of blocking from inside the crater is deemed legal?
